We've got a great URL for you to check out. It's truly incredible that someone has this much skill! He ain't just throwin' 'em, he's catchin' 'em in prefect time....
By the way, of course, at any gig you're invited to come up an' let us know you found our site - or pop us an email - hopefully, letting us know you'd like to join our emailing list. Also, we love to have you request any tunes that you enjoy and you've heard us play in the past. If we're not prepared for a particular number that day, we'll be sure to rehearse it again and promise to play it at the next gig, or any upcoming date of your preference. Thanks in advance for askin'!
Yes, the band has restarted a mailing list (Tom used to send letters out by snail-mail years ago), though this time around it's for email distribution (after all, we are in the space age...). We'll offer the band's near-term schedule, (hopefully) interesting news about developments within the band and occasional generally fun stuff for your ongoing entertainment and enjoyment. As a f'rinstance, we invite you to check out http://www.skateboardingbulldog.com for laughs.
An' here's an even maybe better one, especially for music lovers (it'll take ya a bit t'get the hang of what the guy's doin', but watch, it's incredible, trust me...).
Please send us links to your favorite Web fun stuff, too!
Many thanks in advance if you're interested and decide to send us your email address!
The band has restarted a mailing list and Charlie is sending info and fun stuff by email if ya want. You're invited to sign up below....
Here you will find news and other information about us, and the band's available Public Appearance Schedule.
The Mountain Magic band is five, sometimes six or even more, forty-something guys on stage (OK, OK, we're are in our forty-teens at this point - we've been known to refer to ourselves as the "Old Guy's Band"), and frequently a younger, far better looking, lady. We perform an eclectic, but always danceable mix of classic pop rock, classic soul, country rock, classic country, bluegrass, swing, blues, R&B, and more, including original compositions. Most of us have played professionally in bands in days long gone, but (wistful dreams notwithstanding) we are all now gainfully employed at other endeavors as well. We have much to be grateful for!
Other players sitting in regularly include former band members Rick Ross, Tim Kokosh, Baylor Semple and most frequently Paul Frazier (all lead guitarists/singers).
A brief sampling of the wide variety in a typical set list for us might include:
However, we change our performance set lists and usually add a new song or two at each gig (we love to rehearse!). We have lengthy medleys of assortments of popular 1950's pop rock hits and of classic Motown soul hits that we think are sure to please.
Mountain Magic will be available for public consumption at the following venues:
We also play occasional weddings and other private parties (please let us know if you'd like us to play at yours!):
Additionally, the band members would like to express our special appreciation to the owners and all of the staff at The Little Bear in Evergreen CO - not just cuz they keep on bookin' us for regular appearances (though that certainly counts!), but cuz they comprise an organization that keeps live music entertainment alive and well in our area! Of course, they couldn't accomplish this without the support of you! - the finest of people, those that enjoy and support live music performance!
Also, the Mountain Magic band wouldn't survive without the invaluable encouragement and support of several ladies and one fine gentleman - each of whom has special talents of their own which are unique and really far more significant than anything the band has to offer, so let us express our sincere love, appreciation and indebtedness to (in alphabetical order):
You can email the band anytime. Please let us know if you hear and like us, or if you'd like to find out about booking us in the Denver area. (In case you hear us 'n hate us - we're thinkin', "uh, email - well, really, maybe not...".)
Since August 2003, Mountain Magic has had (yet again...) another new lead guitarist! The history of the four most recent lead players is out lined below.
Former Mountain Magic lead player Tim Kokosh moved on to pursue a new career direction with a full-time band. We urge you to watch for him playing with Tiny Barge and the Big Chill, a great band out of Colorado Springs that only stands to improve with addition of their wonderful new guitarist. Bandleader Tiny is a fabulous talent (singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, dancer and entertainer) you should not miss.
More recent lead player Baylor Semple is concentrating on his career as a school teacher and world traveler, and other musical interests. As soon as we hear particulars of public performances featuring Baylor, we'll include 'em here. Baylor remains a valued friend of the band and highly respected musician. We all look forward eagerly to expected sit-in performances by Baylor with Mountain Magic.
Most recently, in August of 2003, Paul and Pat Frazier made the move they've been anticipating for several years - to the western slope by their 30+ acre property in Hotchkiss, Colorado, where they'll be starting up a wonderful new organic farming business, and young music students of the western slope are now enjoying and benefiting from Paul's teaching expertise. Hence, Paul will only be available to play with Mountain Magic on special occasions - though we, of course, welcome him whenever he can be with us. As our fans are well aware, such a fine player, singer and all around entertainer is a rare find!
So (yes, yet again...), Mountain Magic welcomes another new, fantastically talented lead guitar player: Mr. Keith Terry - a brilliantly accomplished multi-instrumentalist and vocalist/vocal arranger, who's blazing guitar licks will amaze, even as their exquisite taste will delight, listeners and dancers alike.
Keith's an airline pilot in his other life, and his musical wizardry is always aloft. In times gone by, Keith has played for a living in previous partnership with former members Paul and Tony in the (long gone...) Rio Grande and Drivin' Wheel bands of (mostly) Boulder, Colorado. We're talkin' a great player and vocalist not to be missed!
The Mountain Magic Band now has it's own Web domain!

OK, OK, if you must know, it's presently physically at

but you can't count on that - we might change web hosting
providers for any number of reasons at any time.
In fact, the hosting service was last changed in October 2008.
However, since we own the address

always keep it up to date and pointing at the appropriate physical server.
Stay tuned for pictures with the current lineup depicted. And please come see us perform and tell us you've seen the web site. Thanks a bunch!
